Community Services and Social Work Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Duties of Editors

• Fair Evaluation: Manuscripts are evaluated solely based on their intellectual content, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

• Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher.

• Conflicts of Interest: Editors will not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research purposes without the explicit written consent of the author(s).

Duties of Reviewers

• Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and may assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

• Promptness: Any invited reviewer who feels unqualified or unable to review the manuscript promptly should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

• Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.

• Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with supporting arguments for all claims.

• Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

Duties of Authors

• Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and that they have appropriately cited or quoted the work and/or words of others.

• Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication.

• Acknowledgement of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.

• Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.

• Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review.

• Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: All authors should disclose any financial or other substantive conflict of interest.

Publisher’s Confirmation

In cases of alleged or proven scientific misconduct, fraudulent publication, or plagiarism, the publisher will take all appropriate measures to clarify the situation and amend the article in question, including retraction if necessary.
